Arctic Fox: Alopex lagopus

This is an excellent example of a pure arctic fox. Arctic foxes change colors from pure white in winter to a marbled grey white blue/black during summer. Many foxes in captivity are not true arctics even though
they may change color. A pure arctic fox will have round pupils as is clearly visable in the picture above. All other foxes have slit pupils. With the changes taking place in the arctic, the arctic fox is not getting
much attention. With the dissapearing ice cover artcic foxes are finding it difficult to find food, are having to stay closer to other predators looking for scarps and the more aggressive red fox is actually moving
its range futher north each year. The arctic fox needs legal protection. Come and see our beautiful pair of Arctic Yana and Yukon and learn more about these amazing aniamls.

Yukon Cornellius Fox!

Picture of Natani adult female with excellent teeth! Our smallest wolf at 80lbs which is actually
a good size for a female grey wolf.

. Don't mess with "MAMA" wolf! In May of 2008 we were delighted to have 3 healthy, plump wolf puppies born this spring in a natural excavated den. The pups we named Tashina and Tala females
and the male Dancing Turtle. Pups were removed at 10 days of age, before their eyes open and hand raised and socialized by a small group of dedicated puppy sitters who stayed with the pups around
the clock and countless hours over the summer months. The three were reintroduced to the parents in October of 2008 and are now VERY well grown.
NAKOA Alpha, Dominant male. Nakoa is Arctic and Alaskan Timber. He is a wonderful animal and clearly the top wolf. Visitors always comment on his attentiveness to the pack and his piercing yellow eyes that reach the depths of one's soul. His rules with respect and kindness.

This picture I call Frosty Wolf
