The Wolf Mountain Nature Center needs your support to transform this idea into a reality. Everyone here is a volunteer. We need help building fences and working on construction projects. so if you can swing a hammer we welcome you! We also have opportunities for people, college students who may be interested in giving guided tours, working with school groups and making presentations.
We will be introducing the Wolf Mountain Nature Center Staff and volunteers starting with Tom Hennigan. Tom has been a wonderful asset to the Center. His natural ability to work with young students is remarkable. Tom also has been a major contributor when it comes to working with the animals and has helped socialize several of our wolves. Tom has teamed up with other staff to provide many quality programs with the Arctic Foxes and the wolves.

Tom Hennigan has an A.A.S. from the New York State Forest Ranger School, a B.S. in Natural Resources Management from the University of Alaska, an M.S. in Education from Syracuse University and an M.P.S. in Ecology from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry. He has taught environmental science and ecology for 15 years and teaches ecological concepts and field methods in herpetology, mammalogy and forest ecology. He participates in various ecological surveys in the northeastern deciduous forest and has studied in the Galápagos. A few of the things he enjoys about working at Wolf Mountain is getting to know the wolves, spending quiet time interacting with Yukon Cornelius and Yana fox, and introducing people to the biology and ecology of Arctic foxes.
