BUY A POST PROJECT for the WOLF GROVE
1. The WOLF GROVE . We have the need to build a larger enclosure which is 8.5 acres, and will be the home for 5-7 wolves. The location is perfect, spacious, well drained, mixed hardwood and conifers with 2 ponds which were constructed this past summer. This enclosure will allow for observation of pack dynamics in a larger more natural setting and we plan to offer a raised viewing walkway which will be partially enclosed out of the weather with camera ports.
We are asking individuals, families, corporations and groups to Buy a Wolf Grove Post for the enclosure with a $100.00 donation or more and the donors names will be listed on a plaque that will be displayed along the fence lin for visitors to see..COST for each post is $100,000. UPDATE, We have located and purchased 1,000ft of 10ft commercial chain link fence. We still need another 1,500ft of fence, and volunteers with fence skills to help put this all together. **This past summer thanks to David Maracle and Family donating their dozer and time, the entire perimiter of the new enclosure was cleared and is ready for the next step, driving the poles. Also thank you to Jerry Loomis for building the 2 new ponds. Thanks to the Norwich Schools for donating the fence from the old tenis courts by the Perry Brown School.
